This didn't work for some reason and the colors within the game just blew out when I pressed the PS button. That being said, this is what I went through: I turned on the game DVR in the Xbox app then started a game and tried to open the Game Bar.

I have a PS3 controller and use SCP DS3 as well. It works wonders but the playstation button(which should be the guide button) I use a PS3 default sony made controller with SCPToolkit. I'm emulating a 360 controller if that means anything to you)
The main reason is because the improper connection between microphone and PC. What's your issue? Many people can't help you without details. Users may find that theres no sound in Game DVR clips after recording is over.
